چکیده
The singlet pseudoscalar sector of light mesons is investigated in the soft-wall model, a bottom-up approach to AdS/QCD correspondence. ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ mass results from mixing among fields dual axial current, current and $G\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{G}$ operator. topological susceptibility computed for any quark mass, Witten-Veneziano relation obtained large ${N}_{c}$ limit.

The Schwinger Model and Its Axial Anomaly
The Schwinger model (quantum electrodynamics with massless fermions in one spatial dimension) is solved, supposing that space is a circle. This clarifies aspects of the usual version of the model, where space is a line, without changing the physics. The Hamiltonian formalism is used. On a circle, an abelian gauge field has one physical degree of freedom, and the gauge covariant Dirac operator, ...
متن کاملThe holographic Weyl anomaly
We calculate the Weyl anomaly for conformal field theories that can be described via the adS/CFT correspondence. This entails regularizing the gravitational part of the corresponding supergravity action in a manner consistent with general covariance. Up to a constant, the anomaly only depends on the dimension d of the manifold on which the conformal field theory is defined. We present concrete ...
متن کاملVector and Axial anomaly in the Thirring-Wess model
We study the 2D Vector Meson model introduced by Thirring and Wess, that is to say the Schwinger model with massive photon and massless fermion. We prove, with a renormalization group approach, that the vector and axial Ward identities are broken by the Adler-Bell-Jackiw anomaly; and we rigorously establish three widely believed consequences: a) the interacting meson-meson correlation equals a ...
متن کاملThe Axial Anomaly Revisited *
We consider theories with gauged chiral fermions in which there are abelian anomalies, and no nonabelian anomalies (but there may be nonabelian gauge fields present). We construct an associated theory that is gauge-invariant, renormalizable, and with the same particle content, by adding a finite number of terms to the action. Alternatively one can view the new theory as arising from the origina...
